Esseeoh ("we", "us", "our") is a service that turns a creator's long-form YouTube videos into short-form clips, writes titles, descriptions and hashtags for them, and publishes them to the creator's own YouTube channel as Shorts. This policy explains exactly what data Esseeoh collects when you sign in with Google and connect your YouTube channel, why we need each piece, how it is protected, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can revoke access or have it deleted.
Esseeoh uses YouTube API Services to read information about your own YouTube channel and videos and to upload clips to your channel when you authorize it. By connecting your YouTube channel to Esseeoh, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Esseeoh only accesses the channel you explicitly connect. We only request permission to read your own channel and video information and to upload content to your own channel. We do not access other people's channels, and we do not sell any data obtained through YouTube API Services.
When you sign in with Google, we receive the email address of your Google account. We use it to create and identify your Esseeoh account, to let you sign back in, to link your subscription and usage to you, and to contact you about your account, billing, or important changes to the service.
When you connect a YouTube channel, we store its channel ID and channel title. The channel ID tells our system which channel to read videos from and which channel to publish clips to. The channel title is shown in your Esseeoh dashboard so you can see which channel is connected.
We read the video IDs, titles and publication dates of the videos on your connected channel. We use the video ID to identify which long-form video to process into clips, the title as context when generating clip titles and descriptions, and the publication date to find newly uploaded videos and to choose older videos from your back catalogue when you have not uploaded recently. We only read this information for videos on the channel you connected.
For the Shorts that Esseeoh has published to your channel, we read their view counts. We use these numbers to show you how your published clips are performing in your dashboard. We do not collect view counts for videos Esseeoh did not publish for you beyond what is described above.
When you authorize Esseeoh through Google, Google issues OAuth access and refresh tokens. These tokens let Esseeoh act on your connected channel within the permissions you granted — reading your channel and video information and uploading clips — without ever seeing your Google password. We use them only to perform those actions for you.
Connecting Instagram is optional. If you connect an Instagram account, we store its username and Instagram business account ID so we know which Instagram account to publish Reels to and can show the connected account in your dashboard. Esseeoh only publishes to the Instagram account you connect, and you can disconnect Instagram at any time from your dashboard.
When you authorize Esseeoh through Meta, Meta issues an access token. It is encrypted at rest and used only to publish clips to your own connected Instagram account.
OAuth refresh tokens and Instagram access tokens are encrypted at rest. Tokens are stored and used only on our servers; they are never sent to your browser or exposed in the Esseeoh website. Access to stored data is restricted so that each signed-in user can only reach records belonging to their own account.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that are needed to run Esseeoh, and only for that purpose:
You can revoke Esseeoh's access to your Google account and YouTube channel at any time from your Google account's security settings at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Find Esseeoh in the list of third-party apps and remove its access. Once revoked, Esseeoh can no longer read your channel or publish to it. You can also pause publishing or disconnect from inside your Esseeoh dashboard.
You can delete your Esseeoh account at any time from the account section of your dashboard. Deleting your account removes all records associated with it, including your account details, connected channel information, video and clip records, and stored OAuth tokens. You can also request deletion by emailing support@esseeoh.com from the email address on your account, and we will delete your data. Clips already published to your YouTube channel remain on your channel, where you control them and can remove them through YouTube.
